Hello all,
I've been using stn at home for more than a year now
and it has served me well up until now.
I have a static ip with a domain name mapped to it.
I have 3 computers behind the stn box. One is my server which
is running www and mail etc. Another is my programming machine/www editing
box call it Box A.
So in order for Box A to see my www pages i must use the internal network
www server's
ip 192.168.0.104 . The problem is that all the links on the www server are
linked to
my domain name.. and since Box A can't use the domain name to reference
links. I can't
truly view my home page!! Course it works fine if your viewing it from
outside my network.
If Box A was running a real os like linux I could but in a static host..
Can this be done with win2k? Is there a router config to add another route
or dns
for the internel/externel ip's? Some un/documented STN option??
I might just be missing some easy solution... but if anyone has a idea
besides buying
another static ip..(doh) please let me know..
Thanks
Bob
