If I could make the STN-box call a program or script to "dial" I could of 
course put a program there that automate this stupid login sequence but I 
guess that if I select dialup STN will also assume that PPP over serial port 
will be used etc that is not apropriate in this case...

Maybe a future version of STN could have support for calling some user 
supplied script if there have not been any activity for a user selected 
period and the user now try to do something versus the net. That would be 
perfect with this kind of cases.

Sadly enough I think that this kind of "crap" from the ISPs will be more 
common since they want to force us to go to there "portals" as often as 
possible (I guess they dream of us using some "pay"-services, dream on I 
say!).
