In my own research: re: linux & VPN, I ran across an interesting 
statement in someone's HOWTO - that mentioned that when you set a kernel 
up to allow -outbound- VPN, it kinda screws up -inbound- VPN, as 
(supposedly) the choices (at least w/linux) are somewhat mutually 
exclusive.  The statement was that you could set up linux to do one, or 
the other, but not both.

I am sure that protocol 47 -is- handled correctly, as if it were NOT, 
outbound VPN would NOT work (and I know it works like a champ! I've used 
it on many an occasion)

On the one hand, this sounds like BS, as if MicroSloth can do it both 
ways w/o problems, Linux should have this knocked ice cold.

On the other hand, Linux does not have fourty-hundred-bazillion dollars 
of R&D budget either....

I am also still investigating - and I will let you know what I find too.
