I do it, and it works fine.

I tell STN to forward 5900 to my Win98 box, 5901-5949 to a linux box,
and 5950 to another linux box.

Just be sure to have these destination machines listen to the ports
assigned to them.

Subject: running VNC server behind a STN system

one of my clients is running STN on thier lan, and to make my job of
supporting them easier i want to run VNCserver on one of thier nt
workstation. i would then be able to take over that box from my office

in VNC I can set it to look at a predefined port by disabling AutoPorts
and
defining PortNumber (defaults to 59xx and 58xx)
in STN i would then set User Specified Inbound Services to allow ports
59xx
and 58xx back to the ip of my NT WS?
is there anything else i would have to do?
has anybody tried this? what was your results? setups?

Thanks
Paul Gartner
