Dear Sharity Users,
we have released Sharity 2.9 now. Since it fixes several serious bugs and adds compatibility with newer server operating systems, we recommend upgrading to all users.

The following has been changed since 2.8:

New Features:
* Implemented NTLMv2 authentication for compatibility with networks
requiring higher security.
* Implemented SMB signing when required by the server for Windows 2003
domain controller interoperability.
* Automatically log out user when the password on the server has changed.
The user will be asked for the new password by the GUI.

Bugs fixed:
* Fixed a bug which resulted in bogus lines written to the syslog on some
operating systems.
* Fixed data cache bug for files larger than 4GB.
* Under certain circumstances, newly created files did not appear in
directory listings -- fixed.
* Fixed various possible deadlocks which could occur if the connection to
a server breaks.
* Fixed various operation system specific problems (Solaris, AIX,
Mac OS X 10.3).
* Explicitly configured IP addresses were read in reverse byte
order -- fixed.
* Fixed possible crash when license limits were exceeded on a share level
security server.

As usual, upgrades for current users of 2.x versions are free: The old license key works for the new version, too. Binaries can be downloaded from
