I have Sharity running under IRIX 6.5 to connect to a
NT Server without any problems under unix.
However, we are also running SoftWindows (by Insignia
Solutions) to emulate Windows 95 on the SGI machine (it's
ugly but a requirement of the office). The SoftWindows
sees the sharity mounts and all the files without any
problems, except in Microsoft Office. For example. if I
try to open a Word document, I get an error. I can see
the contents of the file in a text editor (in SoftWindows)
without any problems, just not in MS Office. If I copy
the file from the sharity mount to the local unix drive,
MS Office will open it just fine. So it only gives errors
if the file to be opened is on the sharity mount.
Has anybody had any similar problems to this or have any
possible solutions that I could try.
