We bought version 1.06 of Sharity. I have a question
about character mappings.

The situation is sort of simple: we mount one NT share on
our Solaris 2.6 server. The NT volume, however is
also shared as a Mac volume. Mac users can store files
there, and the Solaris machine sees these files via
Sharity.

Everything is ok, until a Mac user stores a file with a "/"
character in it. Sharity displays this as a "?"
character as the doc says it will, but cannot open the file.
I think we want to map the "/" character embedded in the file
name to something else, for example, a "-" character.

Can I just edit the character mapping file to do this ?
Will it affect directory level processing or display ?
What character do I map ?

Thanks.
