Dear Sharity Users,
we are making progress in the analysis of the GUI application crashes on Mac
OS X which some of you reported. The cause seems to be a timeout in a Cocoa
framework function. The previous debug version tried to avoid using this
function. We now have a version which works around the problem by increasing
the timeout manually.
You can download the binary from
http://www.obdev.at/products/sharity/download.html
It's the file "Sharity-Debug-14-MacOSX.tgz" in the "Other files" section of
Mac OS X. This file is only the compressed GUI application. It should be
used instead of the Sharity application shipped with Sharity 2.6 (or
earlier).
If you experienced crashes of the GUI previously, please install this debug
version. It works around the bug, prints to the console what is going on and
produces a crash log (if enabled) when it crashes.
