Thanks to Christian's help we managed to solve the problem by doing a "umount -f" (not cifsumount) on all Sharity mount points and killing sharityd afterwards. All hung processes are cleaned now. No reboot necessary. Solaris rocks. We successfully started Sharity again and will have a close look on it.
