Have you tried something like this (depending on your path to sharity.init)....

To stop, make sure you are not working in a sharity mounted directory, and type....
        /usr/local/sharity/sbin/sharity.init.stop;

To start, type....
        /usr/local/sharity/sbin/sharity.init. start;
