Dear Sharity Users,
we have released the 8th beta of Sharity 3.0 today. This will be one
of the last betas before 3.0 which is planned for the end of the year.
Most of the changes in this beta have been fine tuning and Mac OS X
integration:
- Performance optimizations.
- Installer package for Mac OS X and better system integration.
- Allow demo mode (one connection) when no license key is set.
- Kerberos module available for more platforms.
- Fixed various crashing bugs.
- Fixed various Active Directory integration bugs.
- Various minor fixes and improvements.
This version is more or less what you will see in 3.0 final, except
for changes due to your feedback, of course :-).
The list of supported platforms is now:
- Solaris (Sparc and Intel)
- HP-UX 11
- AIX
- IRIX
- FreeBSD (no Kerberos module)
- OpenBSD (no Kerberos module)
- Linux
- Mac OS X
(Yes, Mac OS X is now supported, although you will still notice that
Sharity3.app is not a native Mac application and Finder will
sometimes do funny things.)
