Dear Sharity Users,
we have released Sharity 3.3 Beta 1 today. This version improves the mechanisms for automatic mounting considerably, avoiding hangs and kernel panics which could occur on some platforms. The second emphasis is on improvements in the command line interface (more powerful commands for root, better manipulation of ACLs).

If you have a Distributed File System (DFS), then please try this beta! The new automounter should bring considerable improvements.

Here's the list of changes since 3.2:

Bugs fixed:
  - Changing the modification date of a file did not work with some
    servers. Fixed.
  - Fixed various bugs in handling of Access Control Lists (ACLs).
  - Various improvements in browsing network resources in
    /CIFS/entire_network.
  - Kerberos module detects "Global Catalog" server more reliably now.
  - Fixed possible deadlock when unmounting stale mounts.

New features:
  - New implementation of automatic mounts in /CIFS. This new
implementation is easier for the kernel to handle.
- New implementation of Distributed File System (DFS): DFS redirections
are now implemented as symbolic links into the automounting browser
    at /CIFS.
  - Inheritance flags in Access Control Lists (ACLs) can be edited now.
- Various enhancements of the command line interface: More control over
mounts and logins for root, new option to log out from all servers
    and shares with one command.
