Here's the information I have:

Invoice #: 07-119
VIN: 644769
Sold to:Mitchell Dodge, Huntington Station, NY
Engine #: 1921
Code: S (this means NO wide tires and NO Recaros)

According to the build lists, there are two cars with no Recaros and
wide
tires. They happen to be #4 and #258. Unfortunately things were really
going down at Shelby Automobiles and the documentation wasn't very
good.
Not that it was really ever good.

Don't accept this as gospel by any means. It's what the build sheets
say
but I suspect there are quite a few errors. There were also a number of
half-Recaro cars created. Some with driver side only and other with
passenger only. Dealers were also known to have made changes on the lot
to
make some customers happy.

Cheers.

I have '89 CSX #258 that is mentioned above and just for the record, it actually has
BOTH options. I am told it is only one of 15 to be optioned that way. I am the third
owner and confident that it has not been modified or altered over the years. It
originally was delivered in FL. Hope this helps with the record keeping. By the way,
the car is for sale if anyone's interested. It is being stored in St. Louis. You can
see pictures at http://ewing.thepeel.org/gallery/1989-Shelby-CSX I can be reached at
