Valve cover was on an unmollested 91 CS Daytona that was electric blue. Motor was a high torque 2.5 TI mitsu motor.
Hope that helps someone! Chad-

My 2 cars have factory red valve covers. ;-)
Simply put the heat, oil, age etc have made this valve cover appear white. Go find a Ford engine painted grey (80's & up)....you'll find parts of the engine which appear white...

IMHO the pictures on the link below are of a faded valve cover..it was
originally silver.
I'm not saying they never did a white VC but the one in the pcs looks like
many of the old faded
ones I have seen/owned.
Thanks
Chad
How would it fade? theres no light comming into the engine bay and shes
haver had any major leaks or spills on it..
there was a 90 daytona es out at the u pull it yard and it was definatly a
cruddy old silver valve cover.. the 90 spirit close buy had the
white valve cover.. the spirit had well over 200K on the clock where as
the 90 Daytona has 53K in which I pulled the engine for my future buildup
sence
the car was t-boned beyond drivability..
I guess this is one of those you have to see it for yourself deals.. they are what they are... its not that big of a deal.. im done with this subject.. Myth Busted :)
