Hmm, I've heard of both being used, but I've only ever seen the solid rubber "dogbone" on all of my cars (which includes every single year of the Shelby Charger 83-87 and the GLH 84-86) If your car was converted to use an A-520/555/523/568 then you'd probably have the strut style mount, but you'd also have an extra tab installed on your K-member.
After further research I remember some people stating that there was a parts bin "upgrade" available.
