hi all my 1987 turbo baron beater has a tendency to have the lights dim and the engine will stumble when waiting at a traffic light at night and i can see the volt gage dropping while it is doing this. all connections are good, the PM is good. connections to it are clean and tight.i am running the stock chrysler alternator that it is supposed to have on it. i have a feeling it is not putting out enough power at idle when a high draw item such as the lights are on.
some guys awhile back were talking about the nippondenso alternator upgrade from the later cars 1993 and up, 120 AMP i think it was. is this a plug n play deal in my car since it is an 87??? any wiring changes i have to make to make this work, what will it do to my PM?? any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
