Most just get them recovered in new vinyl, leather, cloth, etc at an
auto upholstery shop.  This is a common problem on the
Omni/Charger/Rampage arm rests since they just sit there and dry out
over the years from the heat, cold and sun.

I would bet that the companies who restore dashes for the early Mopars
could do the L-Body arm rests too. It's the same basic construction I
think, just softer foam.
