The system will pressurize on its own when you turn on the key.
Releasing the pressure won't effect it after its running, it just makes
it a little harder to start initially. At 55psi of fuel pressure it
doesn't take long to get fuel to the fuel rail.

So, have you checked the codes on the computer?

Did you accidentally swap the return and pressure feed lines? Hint: the
pressure line goes to the fitting on the fuel rail furthest from the
regulator.

How about reconnecting or checking the ground strap(s) from the fuel
rail/injectors to the engine/firewall. How is the one from the
passenger motor mount to the frame rail?

What condition are your vacuum lines in? Break any or incorrectly
connect any after R&R'ing the injectors?

Are there any leaks in the fuel lines? (Always use EFI-rated fuel line
to replace the rubber lines on these cars, carb fuel hose will not
withstand 80psi of fuel and that would be very bad)

When was the last time the fuel filter had been replaced? The sock on
the fuel pump in the tank?

Finally do you have an EFI-rated fuel pressure gauge that you can use to
check the fuel pressure while the engine is running? Sears sells these
as do other retailers. Very handy when troubleshooting.

Subject: SD> Fuel pressure problem

I removed the injectors to fix them, and lost all the pressure in the
system, now with the new injectors in and everything hooked up correctly
the car starts but idles VERY rough and very low. When i press on the
gas I cant get it passed idle. How would I return the pressure back to
the fuel system?
 Lou
