Subject: SD> Non stop chime sound, 90 Daytona. Also, looks like a logic
mod.

Hi All,

After my little ball joint bolt mishap last weekend, I have a new
problem. The tire pushed a small part of the fender back and also the
inner fender. When the tire is off the car, You can see a metal box
behind the passenger side kick panel. What would this be? Looks like a
logic module, but this is a 1990 Daytona. As it is, it has been raining
today and for the last 5 hours, I've heard my car outside, chiming as if
I left the keys in and the door open. Well, the doors are shut and the
keys are in the house. The sound is driving me crazy. Also, the wipers
won't shut off. This happened last summer once. I pullel the fuse and
reinstalled it the next day and that problem totally disappeared.
I'm sure the metal box being exposed to the spray from the front tire is
the reason for the non stop chime. This started after work when I drove
in the rain and has been doing it ever since.
