Hi Frank,

Same as what Cindy and Dave said. Check out LSSDML and also check out my $2900 '91 Spirit R/T (original Tulsa car, in Texas since '97.) See the yahoo link for pictures of the non-rusty fenderwells, then make me an offer.

More about the installed engine.

1989 common block with Turbo III Crank, Rods, and Venolia forged Pistons (.030"). These items were professionally balanced together. Bore and hone W/TORQUE PLATE (perfect bores.) Pistons feature standard .020" 2.2 Total Seal rings (not the hard to find TIII rings) file fitted with a .016" ring end gap on all of the rings. Spec is .014-.020". Pistons have 2.5"x.927" tapered wall wrist pin w/spiral locks, slightly larger and reshaped dish, .020" larger diameter and .020" deeper valve reliefs (for larger valves and higher lift cams. Rods have been resized, and feature larger bushings on small end to accommodate larger wrist pin. Crank had been ground .020/.020" and had been cleaned and polished. These are the EXACT same ingredients Neil used in the CSX- ND, and can put up with prolonged high RPM and HP usage.
Head has new valves from FWD Performance. http://www.fwdperformance.com/
Factory rated at 224 hp at 6000 and 217 lb-ft at 2800. Current mods should put it around 240 HP. Redline is set at 6500.

Rod bolts and main bolts are turbo II type, NOT turbo III. They are torqued to Turbo II specs. This is what Neil uses in his engines with no problems. Oil pump is a new Melling M-118. Pistons maintain a .0035" piston to wall clearance. Clearance is loose for stock pistons, but these forged pistons will expand. This is on the tight side for forged to prevent blow by. The block has been vatted, magnafluxed, and otherwise checked out. New freeze plugs on coolant and oil galleys.

Spare stock (original) T-III longblock included. Drop in this block and you'll be back on the road in one weekend. Shortblock had new piston rings and connecting rod bearings. Spare head has the traditional crack between core plugs. It was resurfaced, but the cam journal axes are warped. Spare camshafts and rocker arm shafts. Spare bag of old T-III valves. This block is the one that came with the car.

"The engine is the main attraction. Step on the gas above 3000 rpm and the car hurls forward with a cacophony of exhaust whoosh, mechanical whir, and blood pumping in your eardrums."

"The Lotus-engineered 2.2 liter DOHC turbocharged/intercooled 24-valve four cylinder engine packs enough punch to rip off" 5.8 0-60 times. "The balance shafted four cylinder engine screams to the six-grand redline with no signs of pain. The five-speed's shift linkage adroitly finds the right ratio practically every time."

At only 3050 lbs, it shows its taillights to almost every car it encounters. Subaru WRX STi and Mitsubishi Evolution cannot touch this car after the 60' line. Not even the Saab Viggen can take it in the quarter.
138,000 miles. Will ship.

If desired we can also arrange shipping of vehicle to anywhere in the lower 48 (buyer responsible for shipping costs)

Deposit of $500 due within 72 hours, full payment in 7 days. We can hold the car if paid for upt to 30 days if needed.
