Hey Mopar family I have another question I want to get a sway bar from Johnny I have a 1990 Dodge Daytona VNT can someone tell me the size sway bar I need I really don't feel like getting under it and trying to measure and all the ugly stuff that go's with that I'm sure someone has bought one in the past that has a VNT Dodge thanks again.

I have one on order from Johnny for my 1990 Daytona Shelby VNT. Your question is not bar size, but what A-arms you have. I have the earlier stamped version (they look almost like 2 pieces. Johnny has pictures on his web site). You might also have the later cast ones, apparently. Knowing this difference is all you need to know to order the bar.

If you just want the bushings, then you need to know the diameter. The stock bar has a smaller diameter on the ends than in the middle of the bar, so the bushings won't be the same size. In fact, what you will probably do is to order the smaller size, freeze the bushings (yes, in your freezer), and drill out two of them to the right size to fit the larger diameter. It costs WAY less this way. After having said all that, I found that my bar was severely worn and corroded where the bushings were such that the diameter of the bar in those places was significantly less than it should be. So, I just ordered a whole new bar. You will probably find that the same is true for you. I didn't know this until I had the bushings off the old bar.

Finally, to answer your question on bar size, I think that the stock bar is 1 1/4" and 1 1/8" (that's working from memory). Johnny's replacement is 1 1/4" (if my memory of the stock sizes is correct).

later...
                                                                     Jarvis
