A’Hadiths Guidance from The Prophet (saws) Sulaiman bin Surad reported: ‘I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (saws) when two men began to quarrel and curse each other and the face of one of them turned red and the veins of his neck were swollen (from rage). The Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "I know of a phrase, if he were to utter that, his rage would vanish and that is: ‘Aoodhu billahi minash-Shaitan nir-rajeem (I seek refuge with Allah from the Shaytaan, the accursed).'' Related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim. Commentary: Although anger by itself is a natural emotion, the evil and accursed enemy of man, the Shaytaan, takes this opportunity to incite man to say or do something which one might severely regret later. Those who are easily infuriated, or those who are unable to control their anger are exhorted to use this effective prescription which would immediately subside their anger, Insha Allah.
