Where is the Enlivener of the Signs of Religion and Its People?
An important prayer in this respect is the supplication taught by Imam
Reza (a.s.) to his companion Yunus Ibn Abd al-Rahman. This
supplication has been noted in the a’mal of Friday. It has also found
mention in the rituals of the Cellar (Sardaab). Shaikh Abbas Qummi
(a.r.) has referred to it in the chapter of the Ziyarat of Imam Asr
(a.t.f.s.). It is a supplication for the safety of Imam (a.t.f.s.). It
carries great meaning in its phrases, is a cause for the benevolence
of Imam (a.t.f.s.) and has great effect. The part of the prayer
concerning our topic is thus: (O Allah)! Honour the believers through
him. Enliven the traditions of the Prophets through him. Give the laws
of the Messengers, a new lease of life until the religion has (itself)
returned to life. (A religion) which is new, fresh, pure, absolutely
correct devoid of mistake or innovation.. Read more

Killer of Imam Husain (a.s.) in a Casket of Fire

Not only has the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) prophesized about
complaining against his killer on the Day of Judgment and its ruling
but he (s.a.w.a.) has also mentioned about the most painful
chastisement for his killer. Such traditions are so many that they
cannot be refuted. The eighth Imam, Hazrat Ali Ibn Musa al-Reza (a.s.)
has narrated a tradition vide his ancestors from Ameerul Momeneen Ali
Ibn Abi Taalib (a.s.) that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.)
prophesied, ‘The killer of Husain will be in a casket of fire. Half of
the punishment of Hell will be unleashed on him. His hands and feet
will be tied in chains of fire and he will be dragged around in the
hell-fire on his face till he is thrown in the lowest pit of hell. His
smell will be so foul and pungent that the inmates of hell will
complain about its stink to Allah. He will stay in this painful
chastisement forever. When his skin will be completely roasted, it
will be replaced with a new skin that he may feel its pain
continually.” (Maqtal al-Husain of Khaarazmi, vol. 2, p. 83) Read

The Causes of Occultation or Divine Practice
Occultation not particular with Imam-E-Zamana (a.s.) Time and again
this question has been raised that why from amongst the Prophets
(a.s.) and the Imams (a.s.), Hazrat Mahdi (a.s.) was singled out for
the occultation.

Since we are feeling his absence to the core, hence we are thinking
that the occultation is particular with Imam Mahdi (a.s.) only other
wise even Prophets (a.s.) have gone into occul tation. The names of
Hazrat Ibrahim, Hazrat Idris and Hazrat Musa (a.s.) can be mentioned
Even our Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) has gone into occulta tion. e.g.
While he was in ‘Shobe-Abi Talib’, where practically he was away from
the society. Similarly, when he migrated from Mecca to Medina on his
way, he had to stay in a cave for days at a stretch and thus was
hidden from the eyes of the people. From our Imams, Imam Musa Kazim
(a.s.) passed his life incessantly under imprison ment. As a poet
expressed it, “(Our) Master had to pass through endless miseries,
Alas! In prison his youth and old age came to pass.” While he was in
prison, he was far off from the eyes of people and access to him was
not possible. Apart from him Imam Ali Naqi (a.s.) and Imam Hasan
Askari (A. S.) led a major part of their lives under strict
surveillance and no one could gain an easy access to them. These
things make it abundantly clear that the occultation was not
particularly meant for Hazrat Mahdi (a.s.).Read more
