ShiaSisters.nets 3rd Anniversary
Greeting Card Contest!
Honoring Sayyada Fatema (as)
On the occasion of the Second Anniversary of ShiaSisters.net,
ShiaSisters.net is once again launching an art contest. This years art contest
is to
Design A Greeting Card Honoring Sayyada Fatema (as). Members are
encouraged to submit artwork using a hadith of Sayyada Fatema (as) or a hadith
about her!
Contest Entry Rules
1. Contestant must be member of ShiaSisters.net or become one upon
entering the art contest. Each member will only be allowed to enter one
design.
2. All entries must be on the attached format.
3. Entries can be any form of artwork, either hand drawn or drawn on the
computer. All artwork not made on the computer will have to be scanned.
4. There will be three age categories of submission:
A Ages 9 12
B Ages 13 18
C Ages 18 plus
5. All participants must include the following information when
submitting their artwork:
Contestant's First and Last Name
Home Address
Home Phone Number
E-Mail Address
(make sure you give us another e-mail address + the shiasisters.net e-mail
address)
All entries should be emailed to a...@shiasisters.net
6. An authentic hadith (with reference) should be included in the
artwork. If you chose to design the card with a hadith in Arabic, we would
request you include the English translation also. Source of the hadith used is
required; however it is not necessary to include it in the design.
HOW TO ENTER
Download this template, create the front cover of your Greeting Card, and
email to a...@shiasisters.net
ENTRY DEADLINE
All entries MUST be received by April 10, 2010. You will be notified of
receipt of entry by means of a confirmation e-mail.
WINNERS
ShiaSisters.net will select 1 grand prize winner from each age category.
Depending on the number of entries, ShiaSisters.net may also choose one
2nd and 3rd place winner from each category.
The Winners will be notified by e-mail and their names/entries will be
displayed the website under COOL STUFF on April 16, 2010 and an e-mail will be
sent to them. Their prize will be mailed directly to their mailing address.
HOW YOUR ENTRY WILL BE JUDGED
Entries will be judged on their ability to clearly and creatively depict
a hadith honoring Sayyada Fatema (as).
The ideal entries will reflect the true meaning of the theme word without
criticizing and or putting down any other entity.
Please note:
*Each entry must be the original work. It may not contain copyrighted
material unless permission has been granted for its use. Use of copyrighted
material without permission automatically disqualifies the entry. You are
welcome to use the ShiaSisters.net logo.
*Entry to this contest results in the automatic submission to the rules
and the decisions of the judges and ShiaSisters.net. The copyright to all
entries will belong to ShiaSisters.net. The artist's name and art may be used
in any promotions, publications, or exhibitions carried out by
ShiaSisters.net. Entries may not be reclaimed.
*Use of any inappropriate LANGUAGE will automatically disqualify the
entry.
(Please Be Aware: Membership to ShiaSisters.net and entry to the contest is
for SISTERS ONLY. Brothers should have fear of Allah and the Day of Judgment
and refrain from entering the contest posing as sisters.)
