All, Shimmer Research recently released an application to assist with calibration of the accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer (Shimmer 9DOF Calibration Application). Currently the application provides an automated procedure for calibrating the accelerometer only but the application comes with full documentation which includes suggestions for gyroscope calibration (which doesn't use a rate table) and magnetometer calibration. A future release will include auto-mated gyro and mag calibration as well.
