I am trying to reliably gather data from 10 Shimmer 2r EMG units via Bluetooth to *3* separate laptops. These laptops are Win 7 with quad core I7 2670QM chips, nVidia GT 540m graphics chips, and 8GB RAM. I use Shimmer Connect v0.2 by running 3 instances on 2 of the laptops and 4 on another. The Shimmer units are always fully charged and connect via Bluetooth just fine. They are all programmed with the boilerplate code. The problem is that the Shimmer Connect software always hangs up and the most I have reliably gathered data with is from 8 units (3 and 3 and 2). I select the EMG box and 500Hz on the configuration menu and write the data to a file. The units are always within 10 feet of the computers. Has anyone else experienced these issues? Are there any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
