Paul I have been working an adding support for signed/authenticated preloads to Shindig to reduce latency for gadgets. I've created a patch to support this even though the spec proposal has'nt been mailed out yet, John Hjelmstad should be sending this out soon. This is a critical performance issue for most containers using Shindig so I wanted to get this out there ASAP. I've also done a bunch of work to cleanup and encapsulate the caching interfaces and logic and I believe you have done work to include Memcache support in your implementation so I'd love to hear what you think.
