First of all the best place to ask for help on Shindig is on the
shindig mailing lists, see http://incubator.apache.org/shindig/#tab-support
That being said, it sounds like your CURL is failing, either it's an
to old version to work with shindig, or your behind a proxy server?
If the latter is true, i've just today added a proxy server option to
shindig (new config key in config.php: 'proxy' => 'myproxy.com:port').
