Hi all,

Some people may recognize me by name, since I occasionally posting
messages to spec-list and
contributing codes to shindig.
It've been almost one year since i first met shindig. But today, I'm
happy to announce
the release of yet another OpenSocial container "goo Home".
"goo Home" is existing SNS represents one of the biggest japanese
portal site "goo". This release
is sandbox only beta. Developers are required to register to view it working.

We've implemented broad range of support for OpenSocial spec:
* home / profile / canvas view
* privacy control over person attributes. (not returning attributes
when set as as private by user)
* activity stream which supports both addition from gadgets and feed
from external services

* requestCreateActivity(asks permission when priority is high and not granted)
  - supporting MediaItem
* requestPermission (works when gadget is not owned by viewer)
* requestShareApp
* requestSendMessage
* DataRequest for
  - AppData
  - People/Person
  - Activity
etc.
Sorry but no REST for this time.

Since we are an open SNS, when we launch production environment, which
will hopefully be in one month,
the container will be public and profile page with gadgets will be
revealed to the web.
Even if you're not registered or signed in, you can view gadgets.

I'm sorry that all documents and UI is written only in japanese.
But in case you have japanese colleague, please ask them to read.

Finally, we've implemented OpenSocial using PHP Shindig. I would like
to thank all the people who
are involved in developing it, especially Chris Chabot, who spent so
much time, took massive effort on shindig.

Of course, I would like to send big thank you to all the Java version
developers too, since
PHP version wouldn't have existed without it.

Regards,
Eiji
