Hi,
I do not have a SSH access to the shinken-monitoring server (simple FTP +
PhpMyadmin) so I cannot install Trac (and no Python module...). I open it at
the Shinken source forge project site. I already add tickets of the Roadmap
at https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/shinken/report/3
I also add a page on the site for the load balancing part : how Shinken
create the configuration slices and send them to the schedulers at
http://shinken-monitoring.org/the-global-architecture/smart-and-automatic-load-balancing
For information, I'm currently working at the Arbiter spare : we will have
the ability to define a spare for the Arbiter that take conf from the
master, and begin to look at all satellites (and listen to orders in
nagios.cmd) if the Master die. With this, we will have a fully high
availability solution (now if the Arbiter die, the scheduling still works,
but if a satellite die, it's not managed).
I'm also wondering about the documentation : should we make our own conf or
go from the nagios one. A team had transform the nagios doc into the docbook
format (can export to PDF, HTML, with CS styles etc)
http://forge.nagios-fr.org/repositories/browse/docnagios3/trunk . Tt can be
a very good start point.
Jean
