I gave a try to both those tools (I already had them setup for my current
nagios installation so it was a piece of cake) and everything works fine.
I only have one concern about the init scripts that do not work. I do not
properly understand why, but the daemons do not start when using them, I
have to launch them manually using the very commands the init scripts are
using!
By the way the /etc/init.d/shinken script tries to
import /lib/lsb/init-functions on line 63, which do not exist on Arch Linux.
In the other init.d scripts you check the presence of the lsb stuff so maybe
you just forgot the check there.
Do you have any clue about this weird init script problem? If you need
further information feel free to ask!
