1) I've also thought about it, as well as implementing the nrpe code and perhaps
more (basic http request, basic snmp query...) in the core, it could be a very
cool feature indeed for all python lovers ;)
2) Good idea too, a well documented (docstrings) common class will make the
module creation easier (I've already a little idea for a new module...) !
