a short update on this:

I reinstalled from scratch on a up-to-date Ubuntu 12.04 VM.
The login breaks after issuing `./install -a nconf` and restarting
Shinken via `/etc/init.d/shinken restart`.
Here's an excerpt of the logs (scheduler and broker at DEBUG level) of
a failed login attempt:

I also tried to remove twisted and install ensure pythonpaste, but
that does not help.
