Note that the test fails (at least on my machine) because
"http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the
jar files deployed with this application". The same test succeeded in Eclipse
as m2eclipse imported project. The root cause is that there are some minor
differences between Maven compile classpath and surefire classpath, but both
jstl and standard libs were there (could be just the order of the lib, perhaps
some lib is declaring an older jstl uri?). Anyway, I didn't feel like
investigating further and instead I configured surefire to not fork as follows:

This has the added benefit that the tests should run a tiny bit faster.
