+1 to everything Kalle just said ;)

I started reading this:

http://incubator.apache.org/guides/releasemanagement.html

but I'm finding it to be a little too verbose. Isn't there any
step-by-step 'no frills' checklist that allows anyone to repeat the
process? I would appreciate something like this so I or other
committers can easily perform 'no brainer' releases if necessary.
Kalle, do you know of anything like this?

Thanks!

Les
