I'd suggest opening a shiro JIRA for this purpose. It's an easy way
for folks to contribute logos with an automatic checkbox to allow
licensing the logo explicitly to Apache.
And you can collect the submitted logos on the wiki.

I have had a number of issues with the old logo - I can't find the old
