Hey;
Considering the purchase of a video camera to tape
your swing? Ever seen your swing? Been playing long? I can answer yes to all the
above. Bought a video camera last week. Taped my swing yesterday. EGADS! It
can't be me, can it?
About 30 - 35 years ago I had myself filmed with
8mm slo-mo, hi-speed film. Back then I was swinging like a lot of "Reverse C"
guys. Backswing long and at times past parallel. A lot like Miller et al. Hit it
a long way. Yesterday's taping demonstrated that I'm beginning to really suck
re:extension.
Never got my hands past shoulder high, ala Doug
Sanders. Funny thing is it feels like I'm still making that big swing.
Shoulder still gets under the chin and I can still hit the irons about the same
distance (thanks to modern techology) as I did years ago. But man, I'll tell ya,
it sure is an eye-opener to see this wretched old body try to extend.
So, if any of y'all are the least bit sensitive
about what your swing looks like, don't, do not video tape it.
Sickly and stiff in CA
TFlan
BTW: Just joking. I'm about to embark upon a
stretching exercise program to try to get some flexibility back.
