I think there may be some confusion. SW means two different things to a
clubmaker:
 - Sand Wedge
 - SwingWeight

Looking at it in context, I think (can't be sure) that Tom meant swingweight
and you meant sand wedge.

Hope this helps, and doesn't just confuse.
