I've found that no matter what I change, after a while even the most friendly club turns on me...

Subject: ShopTalk: Grip for the yips

Have been experimenting with the belly putter for a few weeks and found it worked best for me with a claw grip on the right hand. Had 27 putts in one round with it. So, the other day I set the belly putter down and picked up a 33" blade putter from my extensive line-up of yippers, and tried the claw on it. A modification seems to work very well. Left hand goes on normally, left thumb on top, fingers underneath. Right thumb goes under the shaft and between the middle two fingers of the left hand. First two fingers of the right hand go over the top. Optional: Put left thumb on top of first two fingers of right hand to tighten up the "assembly." No yips, no jerks...works smooth as silk.

Wonder how long the honeymoon will last? :-)
