Hi, John!

I'll be placing an order in a day or two. A few shafts and one or more
heads. A question to help me with my current musings:

How would you -- or anybody who who has tried both -- compare the Bang
SRV-II with the SMT Mv2 head? Or have you played both? I'm particularly
concerned with forgivingness, and next with
distance.

Here's my quandary. I'm playing an all-Clubmaker-Online driver that I'm very
happy with: SRV-II head on a Pure Energy shaft. I'm getting all the length I
need with a VERY forgiving head; if I hit it anywhere near the very big
(very DEEP) face, I don't seem to lose much distance. That's plenty good
enough for me; I shouldn't even be thinking about another driver. :-)

But being a golfer and a clubmaker... :-D
I still have the Big Titanium head on the AJ Tech shaft. The Big Titanium
head was very nice for its time, but I've learned to love the advantages of
a deep face. I'm thinking about putting the AJ shaft in a different head.
But, if I can't match the forgivingness of my current SRV/SK-PE driver, I
probably shouldn't even bother. Hitting fairways is more important than 10
extra yards.

I'm rambling now, but I think you get the idea.

BTW, the other components of the order are:
 * A driver identical to mine for a friend who tried mine and can't live
without one.
 * An experiment: I've never liked graphite shafts in anything but a driver.
But I have a utility iron (Infiniti HotShot 21* that serves as my 3-iron)
that is too heavy to fit into my set on a steel shaft. I'm currently using a
lightweight steel shaft, but can't get that shaft stiff enough to fit into
my set's slope -- and it still isn't quite long enough. So let's see if I
can get it to fit my set spec-wise with a graphite shaft -- probably
TT-80 -- and see if I like it that way.

Thanks for bearing with me,
DaveT
