GREAT IDEA ARNIE! I have done many sets with Graphite shafts and barrel hosels with no problems. I always cone and de-bur the hosel before anything else(so I don't forget). This heating the head to form fit the ferrule sounds like a winner. You the MAN! Ferrules for barrel hosels are available however, you can take your regular ferrule and place it on a shaft tip section, heat the hosel top and push the heated hosel against the ferrule bottom while turning the head. This will mold the ferrule top around the barrel portion of the hosel. Do them one at a time and keep the ferrules matched to the head they are molded to. After assembly you will turn down the ugly flared portion of the ferrule to the hosel and have a perfect fit. Done this way you have the added strength and better appearance of a ferrule. Arnie
