THAT WAS THE POINT OF THE QUESTION. IS IT IMPORTANT? MUST NOT BE.
I THINK THE ANSWER IS THAT GRIP TAPE DOESN'T MEAN SQUAT, ANY SLIMY
CRAP THAT WILL HELP THE GRIP SLIDE ON WILL DO. I'M GOING TO BED.
GOODNIGHT. Was I shouting. Sorry, caps lock stuck.

John,
Is it really important? Use the normal 2" solvent type and be done with it! If you use some cheapo stuff that doesn't work very good, you may lose a customer.

No, not a poll.
My question:
Is there any reason to buy a premium quality solvent activated grip tape or does cheapo work just as well.

Any reason that a person would use a premium type grip tape over a cheapee >>one?I'm going to include a precut 2"X 10" hunk of two sided grip tape with my new >>grip line and would go with a premium two sided tape if it makes a difference. >>Easier grip installation? If grip tape is grip tape, I'll go with the cheapee.
Thanks!

Normally, I wouldn't answer just to say, "I agree." But since you seem to be
taking a bit of a poll -- "I agree with Ed on all three of his points."
Cheers!

FWIW - I can't stand 2" grip tape. Seems almost impossible to
remove a grip if you want to save it.
The 3/4" works great for me. I don't spiral it, just straight up
over the butt and down the other side. Simplicity and works great.
You'll notice I didn't answer your question :-) I buy from whoever> my next component order is with.>> /Ed
