Thanks Team, Can anybody tell me what sort of grips are being used. Are they
made to do the job or are they being cutdown etc.
Regards Robert
If I don't use the Winn models for this purpose, I make the lower grip from any round non-cord grip the customer wants. Made a tool that cuts a perfect, centered, shaft size hole in the butt cap of any grip. Tool has a centering pin mounted in a cut end of shaft. Golf ball on the other end to protect your hand. Push this part of the tool through the grip from mouth to butt, pin will protrude through the vent hole. Other part of the took is the cutter, fits over the centering pin, has sharp edge that when push into the butt cap cuts a perfect hole, sharp edge is now OUTSIDE the shaft section inserted in the grip, remove cutter section, remove long section in the grip, throw out the rubber washer that was the butt cap which is left behind on the centering pin.
The shorter second grip is simply a round grip cut off with a good pair or scissors and edge beveled on belt sander (this operation cleans your sanding belt).
Why pay $8.50 for the ready make grip?
