TFlan,
Being the Techy that I am, I am guessing that OE has been monitoring some of your posts and has decided to take matters into it's own hands.  It may be saying it doesn't trust you to make those decisions.

Seriously, when you are done with that one, and I don't use OE, I have a question about these "messages" that seem to come out of the blue, even without my browser on, on "Messenger" windows.  I do have Messenger in my puter, but have not used it nor activated it, which I think I have to do.  All sorts of ads, even some "adult" ads, just pop up on my screen.  Baffling to me.  I do have a pop-up killer but it only runs after I start my browser (IE 6.0)

Hi;

I know this isn't golf but what the hell .  . . 'tis the season to be confused.

There are several computer gurus here. I can't get an answer to this from MS or from "help" in OE.

Here's what; I've received a few messages recently with attachments. There's been a message attached to the email, highlighted in yellow that reads; "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail: . . . " and the name of the attachment after the colon. The attachment is still included in the main body of the message. I've sent emails to 3 senders asking them if they have a virus in their computer. None have. OE doesn't have any answer to this in the "help" function. I've run scans galore via scan disk and Norton's stuff. All things are normal. This never happened until the past couple of weeks. Anybody know what this is all about, and how to solve it?

Thanks

TFlan
