Q.  What is the definition of a cut and gluer?

A. A "clubmaker" who buys shafts, trims to trimming chart specs., abrades tips (maybe), cleans hosel (maybe), epoxies on head, cuts shaft to standard length, doesn't polish ferrules, puts on a grip (straight maybe). He "cuts" and "glues".

No fitting, no weighing of components, no swing weighting, no frequency matching (maybe necessary), no spining, no length adjustment,no loft/lie adjustment, no custom sizing of grips (if necessary).

To some professional clubmakers the OEM is a cut & glue operation. To some a cut & glue operator sells at a flea market or a driving range.  This is not always true. Afterall, I bought a Rolex watch for $11, off a cardboard box "counter" on a street corner in NEW YORK! And it's exactly like the one Tiger Woods wears.

The buyer must know how to evaluate materials and craftsmanship!
