Jim, Thanks very much for the information. I have one question. When I open the Excel spreadsheets I get a message:
"The workbook you opened contains automatic links to information in another workbook. Do you want to update this workbook with changes made to the other workbook? Yes/No" Are these spreadsheets interactive? And If so how do I link them, or am I missing some information? The information seems very helpful. Using the charts a club that measures RP 6.0 reads just over "S" with a 5" clamp. That seems to make sense. I know there are no real "standards" but this gives me a good place to start the learning process with my new equipment. Thanks for sharing the info, Kevin -----Original Message----- From: Thomson, Jim [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, December 20, 2002 9:37 AM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: ShopTalk: shaft flex v.s. frequency Hi Kevin, I saw your post on Shoptalk. For what they're worth, I have a few charts. The first chart shows the Royal Precision FCM frequency profiles. RP use a 2 7/8" shaft clamp when determining frequencies. <<Freq Profile - RP FCM.xls>> The next two charts relate the RP FCM frequency profiles to frequencies determined using the more common 5" clamp. There is one for woods and one for irons. <<Freq Profile - Woods.xls>> <<Freq Profile - Irons.xls>> The last one shows an interpretation of the common flexes (L. A, R, S, and X) with respect to frequency. <<Flextech.xlt>> Hope this helps, Jim Thomson
