Like Al and Royce say, you only have hold it in the stretched position for short time to hold. I have a watch myself for I tend to stretch grips when I put them on by pushing them too much. Just one of the things I seem to want to do.

Thanks A & B Taylor...I was not clear on the stretching part. I thought of two things. 1. Stretching the grip when off the club (wouldn't do anything but bounce back) or 2. using an undersize grip which would stretch on the shaft, making the grip larger.
I also wonder about the stretch you and B are talking about. When I've stretched a grip too far down the shaft (which you're saying would undersize it) it always bounces back (slides back up to it's original position. Do you somehow lock it in it's stretched position so it doesn't slide back up? Seems as if it will be undersized only temporarily.

John,
Stretching a grip during installation can take it down a point or two. As you stretch the grip down the shaft, you make the wall of the grip thinner. We use this method when we can't get grips small enough. Short fingers on small hands etc. Cords are impossible to stretch.

Since I saw so many "It's so quiet" posts, I thought I'd throw in a simple
one, because I'm very interested in getting Greptile grips for the upcoming
season.

Whenever I got new grips, I would tell the clubmaker my preferred grip is a
Ping Aqua (that's 1/64" smaller than their standard white). They would
usually tell me they'll stretch the grip to make it smaller, but I couldn't do
this with any cord grip.

Can I do this with a Greptile grip?
It'll stretch a little bit but not sure how stretching it will make it smaller...

Also, I understand the grip's at its strongest "gripping" power when use with
a Greptile glove. How much more benefit will I get by using a Greptile grip
and a traditional glove over a traditional grip and a traditional glove?

My
preferred glove size's actually a FJ Ladies' Lg, so I was also wondering when
these gloves'll be available in women's sizes.
I've been using the greptile grips with the Forecaster All Weather glove that I'm also selling ( some of the greptile strips with adhesive backing are included, also). You'll find the greptile grip with the Forecaster is the best conforming combo, I've tried all leather and the synthetic material the Forecaster is made of really seems to lock in with the Greptile.
The ultimate grip is the greptile grip with the greptile strips attached to the palm of the glove but it's non conforming. With two gloves, it's fantastic in the rain, too.
