Jim,
I had the same problem with Mirage beginning last October. Ordered a head
and after two weeks e-mailed them. They replied it had been sent. A week
later, it was obvious it had not been sent and I cancelled my order, asked them
to credit my account and I put a stop payment on the charge. Bank had to
investigate. Apparently, to keep my credit on their books, they sent me a
head that I didn't order the following week. I checked with the bank and they
said I had to return it. I asked Mirage for a return order and they ignored me.
Had to pay to send the head back. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, the bank
permanently stopped payment (I hope.)
Looks to me like they are running a scam...do not have heads in stock and
wait until they get enough orders to buy a batch, then send them, all the while
keeping your cash on their books. This has all happened since Mirage was bought
out by Leaderboard, so I have and will avoid Leaderboard as well. Bad
business.
