John, There is a great point here that should be noted. It isn't MANLY to hit a 3-wood - OR - a highly lofted driver.
I would suggest that you NOT have "15 degree" on the sole of the club. /Ed jgk wrote:

I can recall reading 30 years ago (Jim's a geezer), that most pros and "better" amateurs, suggested that the average (whatever that means) golfer should never even try to hit a driver, but stay with a 3 wd off the tee. BUT, since hitting a 3 wood isn't manly enough for many guys, they kill themselves trying to find and hit a driver that will work for them.
