Scott and Ron, are the 2 shaft pullers mentioned by Scott decent pullers? I
am also in the market for a good inexpensive shaft puller.

Thanks,
Stephen

Slippage isn't a problem if you remember to change the rubber jaw liner
at regular intervals. I use 3/8" fuel line hose that I buy at Canadian
Tire by the foot. Cheap replacements, works very well.

Ron

and it has worked pretty well. The problem is that the vise I built it for
is questionable, and access to the materials to rebuild it is no longer
there for me. So, I'm in the market for a shaft puller. I'm trying to keep
the price at a minimum, and Mitchell has their 2001 models on clearance.
The pro model that was normally $169 are $119, and the original model that
was normally $139 are now $89.
